Part of a series of four original paintings of the ford at Hail Weston, Cambridgeshire in different seasons.
Complimentary Free UK Delivery.
Large scale original paintings, executed in acrylic on graph paper.
The works catalogue the transitioning seasons of a much-loved childhood walk on the edge of the fens.
The colour is build up with washes of acrylic paint, rollered onto draughtsman's graph paper which has been taped together to make an A0 size. The piece is overlayed in places with Chinese paper's and distressed to give a worn, "Ordinance Survey" map-like feel.
The walk optimises a fascination with the outdoors and the countryside. I love vast skies and sweeping spaces and relish its silent beauty in every season.
