Hampshire Open Studios

The Studio, Brooms Cottage, Dark Lane, Hinton, Christchurch, Hampshire, BH23 7EA
17th - 26th August (Bank Holiday Monday)

This summer I am going to be opening up my home and studio as part of The Hampshire Open Studio art scheme. The event takes place late August – Saturday the 17th through to Bank Holiday Monday the 26st of August. This is a great opportunity for anyone to come and visit not only myself, but lots of other talented artists in the area.

My Studio is at Brooms Cottage, Dark Lane, Hinton, BH23 7EA.

It is also a wonderful opportunity to come to explore the picturesque towns of Lymington and Christchurch and visit Bournemouth, The New Forest and the Dorset coastline. We’re in an ideal location if you’re looking for a short English Summer break away with lots of perfect places to stay and visit nearby – whether you’re a “glamper” or prefer a luxury hotel like “The Lord Bute” or “Chewton Glen” – which are only approximately a mile away.

Although we live in a very convenient location, close to the A35, we are positioned in a hidden, limited access road. We’re hoping to have lots of bright pink signs so you can easily find us. The studio will be open from 10 am – 5 pm every day.

There will, of course, be tea and cake, so you can come to view my art and hopefully sit out in the sunny garden and enjoy our peaceful location.

The Country Brocanté – Summer Fair

Parham House & Gardens in Pulborough, West Sussex RH20 4HS
Friday 14th - Saturday 15th June

I’m so excited to be taking my Still Life collection of Hogben and Burleigh Calico originals and prints to the Summer Brocanté in June.

I exhibited at the Autumn fair in 2018 and it was full of beautiful, niché and vintage stalls and delightful gifts for interior and antique hunters. I’m sure it will be a really special couple of days.

I’m only creating 35 of each Limited Edition framed prints and some have already sold, so pop down if you want to see them in real life or simply if you want to say hi and find out all about how I make each individual piece.

Parham House is on the edge of the South Downs of Sussex. I’ve never been before, but from their website, and what I’ve heard, it is going to be a lovely venue. Parnham House has beautiful gardens and a real sense of heritage and timeless beauty – just the place to while away some heady summer hours.

St Barbes Museum & Art Gallery in Lymington

22nd March – 2nd of June

I’m also exhibiting at the St Barbes Museum & Art Gallery in Lymington until June. This is a beautiful local venue, with a rich cultural and maritime history. Lymington is a vibrant coastline town and a beautiful place to live and well worth a visit if you are coming to the area.

St Barbes recently enjoyed a significant face-lift and now has three modern gallery spaces and a very active educational and learning centre.

I’m really honoured to be taking part in the exhibition. There are a variety of pieces from over one hundred local artists – amateurs and professionals alike. The exhibition entrance fee is £6, but there are also family tickets and concessions available. It is heartwarming to see art promoted to as many people as possible. I do hope you’ll come and visit and show your support.
