Contactless Payment Infrastructure Strategy

LFS FUNDRAISING

PAYMENT SYSTEMS RESEARCH & DIGTAL TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY

Working alongside the leadership team at LFS Fundraising, Jennifer helped investigate and develop a potential new payment infrastructure and commercial revenue model designed to support future fundraising growth and improve operational efficiency within a highly regulated environment.

The project focused on exploring recurring contactless donation technology, customer payment journeys and emerging digital payment systems that could support future large-scale fundraising activity and broader third-sector payment infrastructure opportunities.

Working directly with Stripe product and technical teams, Jennifer helped evaluate emerging payment technologies, recurring payment infrastructure and the feasibility of developing a dedicated third-sector payment solution designed to improve operational efficiency while supporting future commercial growth opportunities.

With limited market precedent available within the sector, the work required extensive research into:

  • commercial feasibility,

  • customer adoption,

  • payment processing infrastructure,

  • regulatory and compliance considerations,

  • recurring payment models,

  • digital wallets,

  • operational workflows,

  • and implementation practicality.

The project also involved:

  • customer journey mapping,

  • operational process definition,

  • stakeholder communication,

  • implementation feasibility assessment,

  • supplier engagement,

  • and commercial modelling.

The project secured external stakeholder engagement and provided a commercially grounded framework for evaluating emerging payment technologies, customer payment journeys and operational opportunities within the sector.
