This was my first time opening my Home Gallery up for Hampshire Open Studios.

On a beautiful (if a little windy) midsummer, there is nothing nicer than being surrounded by gorgeous finds and exhibitors at The Country Brocanté Summer Fair.

Now, I don't expect handwritten notes from all my customers, but I wanted to share how truly special it is to find people who love and connect to the art I have created.

I wanted to share these two new pieces with you. Both inspired by yoga, but they are part of a personal journey that has taken up the early part of this year.

Recently I reread this poem by May Oliver after having heard Tara Brach recite it on her wonderful podcast. I wanted to include it here to share with you.

Yoga, to me, is not just about movement and sweet poses, but about calmness and stillness – inner beauty as well as outer beauty. These pieces are about that.

Sometimes it is so easy to get wrapped up in the busyness of our lives, so I’m spending a little time reevaluating and simplifying what is important to me.

When I paint, I always like to work in a clear and uncluttered space. I like my head to be clear, so I feel the brush in my hand and let the magic happen.

I'm excited (and little nervous) to announce I will be exhibiting at The Country Brocanté Harvest Fair at the gorgeous Daylesford Organic Farm in Gloucester. I just hope it doesn't rain!

There has been nothing better than taking the time to paint these sweet little jugs filled with beautiful wildflowers and the sunlight pouring in my little studio.

Ever since I was little, I've loved lavender, inspired by my Mother's enthusiasm for the heavenly scent and the delicate spikes of purple-blue hue.

This Sissinghurst adventure was for my Mother's 70th birthday present (I guess like many Mother's and Daughters we tend to share and love the same things!)

And so this is where I am – trying to keep up with Spring. Greedily trying to paint, photograph and absorb all her delights – not knowing which to capture first as they have their brief moment in the spotlight.

I believe art should reflect your personality and bring harmony (and a touch of "wow") to your walls, and this is where mounting and framing can be so important.

Creating this floral collection has been a long time coming, but I am so proud, and in love with these gorgeous little pictures.
